Inspiration

  • What is Inspiration?
    A concept-mapping software program that allows users to plot out their ideas in a graphic form. Users can switch back and forth between a graphic layout and an outline view, and eventually export their text as a Word document or publish it as a website.
  • Does my school have Inspiration?
    Many schools have purchased or received Inspiration licenses this past year. Most elementary and middle schools have at least 30 licenses. Check with your tech coordinator- and remember that teachers have take-home installation rights with the program.
  • Why use Inspiration?
    Inspiration can be used across the curricula- language arts, math, social studies, science and more. It can be used to for pre-writing strategies, publishing a concept map or web site or even informally explaining a concept or relationship. Using this program helps to meet the MD student and teacher technology standards.
